WINDS OF CHANGE…The one constant in this life is change. Real estate goes through rhythmic cycles. We’ve just come through an extended period of appreciation, but that party is finally winding down.
CHICKEN LITTLE? Nope, the sky is NOT falling and the meltdown of 2007 to 2011 is not likely to be repeated, but the real estate market is softening a bit. A Bay Area Realtor friend calls it “Buyer Fatigue.” Homes are still selling! My little Team is enjoying a great year. However, pricing is more important than ever (A welcome change for Buyers who have been squeezed in recent years).
LAST WEEK, I announced price reductions on three of my listings. One of those is already in escrow, and the other two are enjoying an uptick in Buyer interest. My old saying is, “You’ll know when you hit the right price, because the Buyer shows up!”
CONGRATULATIONS to Brian and Nicole on the SALE of their rental home! I helped Nicole’s Grandma Cora sell her Lodi home awhile back. Good to work with the family again! John DuBois and I worked hard to get this place SOLD! Another happy beginning.
CONGRATULATIONS ALSO to Matt and Kristen on the PURCHASE of their very first home! I’ve known Matt’s Mom and Dad for decades. Thanks for entrusting your son to me, Jon and Janet!
